Movements of Night: Sword's Shadow

Journalism student Jack finds himself embroiled in a world of supernatural mystery, all centered around the mysterious beings called Demons of Darkness. He is accosted by the DDF (Demon Defense Force) and must investigate what’s called the Bonded Blade, a weapon that he is able to recall to his hand. Jack’s father subjected him to horrific training to become a warrior as a child, and he discovers his father is connected to the DDF, and that this training was part of a much larger story, an ancient conspiracy that would make the world fall into chaos. 

Don't expect your typical fare. This isn't LitRPG, and our protagonist is a flawed person who oftentimes must rely on others for help. This story is more a slow-burn mystery/slice of life than action or progression. 

It takes place in the real world, and deals with real, present-day issues. If you like Metal Gear, Fate/Stay Night, JJK, or Tokyo Ghoul; you may like this fiction.
