Community Rules

No harassment, threats, hate speech, racism, sexism, or personal attacks — on other readers, on authors, or on translators.

Disliking a book is completely fine. Say a story is boring, badly paced or not for you as bluntly as you like. The line is between criticising the work and attacking a person.

No pornography, explicit sexual content, gore, or shock content. Sexualising minors — including as a joke — will get the account removed rather than warned.

Both comments and reviews have a spoiler checkbox. Use it, and the text stays hidden until someone chooses to reveal it. Deliberately spoiling a book in the open is one of the few things that reliably drives readers away.

Comments belong to the book they are on. Don't derail threads into unrelated arguments, and don't post the same thing across many books.

A review carries a rating, and that rating moves the book's score for everyone. So: review books you have actually read, one review per book, and don't organise or take part in campaigns to push a score up or down.

Rating your own work, or coordinating ratings with others, is the clearest way to lose the account.

No advertising, referral or affiliate links, or begging. Report content that breaks these rules using the Report button instead of replying to it — arguing with a rule-breaker in the thread just gives them more room.

Comments and reviews that break these rules are hidden rather than deleted. A hidden review stops counting toward the book's rating immediately, and stays on record so patterns across accounts can be seen. That also means a mistake can be undone.

Every moderation action is logged with who took it and why. Accounts used to evade moderation are removed.

No list covers everything. Moderators can act on behaviour that clearly damages the site even where it isn't written above — and if you think a call was wrong, say so and it will be looked at.
