WebNovelDex is a discovery and tracking site for web novels. This page explains what data the site handles and why.

What we store

If you create an account, we store your chosen username, a cryptographic hash of your password (never the password itself), an optional profile picture you upload, and the activity you create on the site: your library (followed books, reading progress), ratings, reviews, and comments. Anonymous, aggregate view counts are kept per book. We do not ask for your email address or any other personal details.

Cookies

The site uses one first-party session cookie to keep you logged in and to protect forms against cross-site request forgery. Your theme preference (light/dark) and similar settings are stored in your own browser's local storage and never leave it.

Advertising

Pages may display advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites, subject to your consent choices where required. Book content

WebNovelDex catalogs metadata (titles, covers, synopses, chapter lists) about web novels published elsewhere and links to the original source for reading. All content rights belong to the respective authors, translators, and publishers. Rights holders can request removal of a listing at any time via the contact below.
