About WebNovelDex
WebNovelDex is a catalog for web novels. It collects what is being published across several sites, so you can find something to read, keep track of what you are reading, and see where each title is updated — then read it at the source.
What we host, and what we don't
We do not host chapter text. The catalog stores only metadata: titles, authors, cover images, synopses, genres, publication status, and chapter titles with links. Every chapter link goes to the site that published it, so reading happens there and the author's platform keeps the traffic.
Where the data comes from
Catalog entries are gathered from the publishing sites themselves — currently Royal Road, WuxiaWorld and Webnovel — using the listings and sitemaps those sites publish for crawlers, within the limits their robots.txt sets. Ratings shown as "on Royal Road" or "on Webnovel" are that site's own score, not ours.
Ratings and reviews written here are by WebNovelDex members and are kept separate from the source site's score.
Corrections and removal
If you are an author, translator or rights holder and want an entry corrected or removed, email contact@webnoveldex.com with the link to the page. Removal requests are honoured — we would rather lose a catalog entry than list a work against its author's wishes.
Please include:
- the WebNovelDex URL of the entry
- the original work's URL
- whether you want it corrected or removed entirely
The same address works for reporting wrong metadata, a mismatched cover, or a book listed under the wrong author.
Reporting content
Reviews and comments can be reported from the page they appear on, using the Report link. Reports go to a moderation queue.
