Urduja Vassal Heir
Synopsis
13th century explorer Ibn Battuta left us two details: 1. Urduja was a warrior maiden with a stable of war horses, and 2. she spoke perfect Turkic. In my parallel universe, she is vassal heir to Khublai Khan. She survives the collapse of the Yuan Dynasty and is integrated into the Ming Dynasty.
All this takes place as the Austronesian Maritime Empire declines due to religious differences
