Antithesis: Love and Blood

Crown Prince Alden wakes on the morning of his mother’s funeral knowing he has lived this day before. Last time, Empress Cassandra’s death led to a cursed future of endless torment, a burned empire, and everyone he loved slaughtered. This time, he remembers—and he knows she was murdered. With only a few years before history repeats itself, he seizes control.

In the day, he dismantles the Alchemy Towers he knows will poison the empire, standing firm before the Imperial Court as conspirators tighten their grip. At night, broken and alone, he speaks to a goddess trapped in a distant golden realm.

He doesn't know she can hear him—and she doesn't know whether the voice telling her stories is talking to her, or if she's simply eavesdropping on his conversation with some unknown 'angel.' She only knows that he sounds more fragile each time he returns.

As the future keeps changing faster than his estimation, Alden must decide how much of himself he is willing to destroy to save the world—and whether anything human will remain when he succeeds.
