Akiko was never supposed to be here.
Not in this dying star system. Not aboard a military vessel. And definitely not wearing a fabricated name.

Ripped from a magical world and stranded in a sci-fi future, Akiko is a stranger to everything—except survival. With alien magic running through her veins and her true identity concealed, she scavenges what she can, hiding her fox-like nature beneath human skin and trying not to draw the wrong kind of attention.

But when a derelict station awakens something ancient, something that sees her not as a person, but a pattern to be replicated, Akiko is forced to step out of hiding. A spark of foxfire. A glimpse of myth. A beginning.

Now the crew wants answers, the entity wants to claim what she is, and a war is stirring in a system already on the verge of catching fire.

To survive, Akiko must become more than human.
She’ll have to rebuild the tools she once wielded, navigate alliances she doesn't trust, and come to terms with a magic that never should have followed her here.

This is a story about building power from nothing, forging bonds across impossible distances, and learning where the self begins when the past won't stay buried.
