The Book: A Short Halloween Play in Seven Acts.

by Rovan Eryk Ongoing

Synopsis

The Book is a short play written to be performed by a minimal cast on a makeshift stage in the woods at night.   The original intent was that it be somewhat modular, so the specific monster could be swapped out, by means of interchangeable 'monster modules,' which would replace certain pages of existing text with a different monster and slightly different dialogue.

The original version uses Slender Man in the monster role because that monster is a natural fit for the setting,  but any humanoid or human-sized monster can be substituted by intent.
