Crockett has run the guild for three hundred years, which is longer than most empires last and roughly three hundred years longer than anyone thought a goblin with his impulse control would survive. Under his watch, the Gilded Goose has become the Shining Everlast's most brilliant guild and its most expensive headache advancing science, toppling monsters, and once turning half a city block into gold by accident. They always clean up their messes. Eventually.

Their latest job should be simple: dig into the ancient ruins beneath the Yenfin Empire, find what's down there, write it up over drinks.
