Alex never asked to wake up starving, sunburned, and very possibly dead. One moment he was living a normal life on Earth—next thing he knew, he was in a ramshackle hut, sizzling under the sun, with a gnawing hunger that no food could sate.

Power unlike anything the world had ever seen; immortal, undying, strength that only grows with every battle... On paper this was a dream come true. However, reality is often disappointing, and every gift comes with a price: a fear of the sun, an insatiable thirst for blood, and instincts that make him more monster than man.

But not all is lost. Armed with a growing group of allies, questionable decision-making, and the occasional severed limb, Alex is going to carve out his place in the world, no matter who stands in his way...
