Peregrinations of the Far Shore: A Progression Fantasy Tragicomedy
Synopsis
What life can be considered one worthwhile? What happens to legend and myth when the basic illusions of their grandeur exhaust? And how does one make their mark on an already fractured world, one where the stars themselves are chained to man and the heavens darkened with perpetual night?
Orphaned and impoverished Faiz lived a life bereft of such worries, concerned only with eking out a living, peddling terror to the masses to furnish his beloved with gifts and carry on his meagre existence.
And then the firmament erupts in flames. The prismatic blaze of the empyrean returned his life to the ashes. This isn't enough to make him give up.
His fairest one stolen away and a city razed down by otherworldly foes (with more to follow), Faiz must act. Setting off on a voyage unto the Starlit Seas, he must find every last hidden heir of light and artefact of might, supplanting his weakness with the aid of implements and unorthodox schemes of the distant past. Perhaps discover even a hidden legacy of blood or two? If he doesn't...there is a high chance the world might end, but more importantly, he shall lose out forever on the one who matters most to him! Can he do it? Probably not, but he can certainly try.
And with that tenacious will of his? He may just become a legend of the Far Shore yet.
Peregrinations of the Far Shore is exactly what it says it is on the tin, a progression fantasy tragicomedy. You can expect-
- A character driven adventure fantasy set in a richly developed world
- Slightly caustic narration and severely caustic (but still lovable!) characters
- No adult or suggestive scenes, and (despite the description) NO real focus on Romance.
- A very traumatized and headstrong MC that grows in strength and personality
- Intelligent strategy used in complex battles, Lots of buildup leading to lots of action
- No swearing. Not at all!
- ACTUAL TRAGICOMEDY
Updates sporadically, but I try (hopefully successfully) to maintain schedule!
