“It is my honor to present Hunter Liv with her Hunter License today. On behalf of every Resident of the Committee, I hope she will create even greater prosperity for everyone in Nowhere.”

Beneath the watchful gaze of Lady Blue Vulture’s twelve wings, the Director gently patted Liv on the head. A radiant golden Hunter title appeared before every eye relic connected to the aether network.

Tuesday exchanged a polite kiss with her younger sister before handing today’s guest of honor a penile relic that had already been integrated into the aether network.

Sensing the complicated emotions of her friend, Liv gave Rafe’s hand a reassuring squeeze.

“I can offer you an interest-free loan, a chance to exchange biological information with Tuesday—and I’ve already spoken to my dad. If your net worth reaches one thousand Soult before next year, he’ll give you the opportunity to carry his child.”

Raphael Spencer patted Liv on the head, unable to stop imagining humanity’s inevitable descent into chaos and its final end.
