Twenty-five thousand years is a long time to remember a face.

Jensen was once a general — brilliant, beloved, until a single mission buried his entire army beneath a mountain of his own failures. Stripped of rank, thrown into a cell built for men the kingdom wanted to forget, he expected to rot there until the world moved on without him.

Instead, he met Damarr — and learned his wife, Elis, had already been marked for something far worse than death.
