Dao Of Origin

Lin Shen has no cultivation.

No awakened Spirit Root. No powerful bloodline. No ancient master living inside a ring.

But he can see Qi.

Long before his Spirit Root awakens, Lin Shen begins noticing something cultivators around him take for granted: Qi does not always behave the way their manuals claim it should.

Techniques contain inefficiencies. Meridians differ between cultivators. Ancient teachings contradict one another. Methods preserved for centuries are not necessarily perfect—they are simply the methods whose practitioners survived long enough to pass them on.

When Lin Shen enters Azure Mountain, he is surrounded by people capable of crushing him with a single technique. To them, he is only a mortal reading books he cannot use.

Then he starts pointing out their mistakes.

They mockingly call him the Mortal Scholar.

Lin Shen doesn't particularly like the name.

One day, the heavens will remember it.

Dao of Origin is a traditional xianxia-inspired progression fantasy focused on cultivation, sects, martial techniques, Spirit Roots, Dao comprehension, ancient inheritances, spirit beasts, exploration, and the underlying nature of Qi itself.

Rather than beginning with overwhelming strength, Lin Shen's path begins with understanding—and the dangerous realization that the cultivation world may know far less about Qi than it believes.
