A New Trainer's Journey

Marco wakes up in an unfamiliar forest, away from home. However, he does not remember where home is, and cannot help but be shocked by the familiar creatures roaming the area. Once an impossibility, the creatures called Pokémon are now alive and breathing fire right in front of Marco. 

Starting with a squid and an egg, Marco adjusts to the world and feels a sense of belonging. However, his past is still a mystery, and uncovering it means facing a danger that is otherwise nonexistent in what could be a relaxed lifestyle. Will he choose a comfortable future, or put himself in danger's way for memories of what may be a past life?

Hey all, 

This is a rewrite of 'A New Trainer'  (https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/67113/a-new-trainer)

I hope you enjoy the changes I've made. Though much of the original version will be used, I truly believe it will be a completely different experience.

I'm not sure what the drop rate will truly be, but I'm looking at two chapters a week after the first 10 chapters are released. I welcome all critiques and constructive criticism because I want to improve my writing. I use an editing program that utilizes AI-software, but do not create content for the story with it. It is purely for editing.
