Synopsis

After decades of war against a powerful demon, newly-crowned King Adacos vows to banish what remains of its dark influence. Though defeated, its corruption still lingers, poisoning hearts in ways few but Adacos can recognize.

But in the mind of Duke Taralos, the king’s zeal is just a self-righteous ruse. Forced to bend the knee before another false ruler, he hatches a plan to take what he always believed belonged to his family – the crown.

The duke's rebellion thrusts Adacos into a war on two fronts – the uprising of yet another selfish lord, and the spiritual corruption he spent his life holding at bay. The more Adacos fights to defend his kingdom, the greater Taralos’s conviction to free it from his heavy-handed reign becomes.
