Wings Between Silence
Synopsis
Writ was raised to obey without attachment. The Accord sends her where disobedience must disappear.
Her latest assignment brings her to the Bronze Concord, where living oaths have stopped answering. There, Kion, a fairy long believed extinct and bound to its governing body, casts a forbidden lifetime tether meant only for his own kind.
The spell binds him to her emotions without her knowledge. It binds her to a connection she cannot publicly survive. It exposes what she buried and begins to unmake him.
To preserve her standing, Writ must remain flawless. To protect the attachment she grows dependent on, she must lie, unaware that the same tether corroding him toward obsession may already be undermining her.
Exposure means more than dismissal. The Accord does not forgive deviation. They have already tested the blade against her throat.
This is not a story of sudden rebellion, but of slow erosion. A character-driven dark fantasy of obedience, dependency, and the cost of survival.
What to Expect:
• Slow-burn psychological tension over fast action
• A restrained operative raised as a weapon
• An institution that enforces obedience through emotional suppression
• An involuntary magical tether creating deceptive intimacy that breeds obsession in one and dependency in the other
• Decisions that compound over time rather than reset for spectacle
• No systems, stats, or power fantasy progression
