Scan the QR code, what could go wrong? Sure, it might impress his date, but it installed a mysterious game on Marcus' phone that has him doing crimes and gaining powers in real life. When it escalates and he finds himself moving from thrill seeking adventure into witnessing a Senator preparing to do unspeakable things, he has to act, and the island-loving parasite in a suit learns that sometimes people do push back and sometimes even the powerful must face consequences for their evil.

Now the game is sending Marcus items through the mail and as he levels up he's gaining more and better spells. He'll have to navigate the questions that come from taking the power the game offers him and using it to push back against the most corrupt people in the world, all while also trying to figure out how to keep relating normally with his friends, his community, and his new girlfriend.
