Noel Sørensen. Representative of modern society. Someone who doesn't need much to live as long as he understands how things work and how they're put together. A die-hard fan of the "Information Age".

Not exactly a social butterfly or a fan of communication, with his terrible personality, he was spending most of his time in a stream of thoughts.

Primitive, material, and socially accepted measures of success barely registered for him.
Would a beautiful wife, a happy family, a six-figure bank account, or a penthouse in a sleek glass building tell him that "temperature is just a measure reflecting the average kinetic energy of molecular vibrations in defined space"?
Or maybe how to survive in the wild if you've got nothing but... umm... absolutely nothing with you?
Highly doubt it.

Even though his life was guided by his curiosity and joy in simple things, perhaps he could have even called this life happy... It couldn't just continue as it was.
Otherwise, we wouldn't see this story.
The story of him ending up in a world where his warm bath was shattered into pieces.
A world where he's not the duke's beloved son and doesn't attract all the sultry beauties to himself just by existing.
A world where he's not the greatest, strongest, most fearless, or omnipotent genius.
A world with blood, shit, and tears.
And magic.
But this harsh and dangerous world doesn't quite suit him, and there's something about your “magic” that feels... well, not very magical at all...
Noel knew perfectly well that magic remains magic only until it's fully understood.

And we'll see whether our man of broad horizons, antisocial tendencies, hot-tempered nature, and perhaps a bit of self-absorption, driven by his constant urge to plan and acquire knowledge, can achieve anything in this new place...

Or at least survive?
