To Kill a Child
Synopsis
Roald, a youth of only twelve years in a land of ancients, is barely on his path to adulthood in the world. He resides in mysterious lands enveloped by impenetrable forests known only as, The Protectorate.
Roald works with his family, who are tailors in the town of Copperkeep. To earn a living and help feed his family, he works from before the sun rises till long after it sets. His life may be hard, but it has many simple joys— no lack of warmth and unity from his community. They struggle together, to make sure none are left behind.
Trouble comes to the Protectorate in the ways it has always done so, from outsider's threatened by the very existence of those they don't understand.
What will Roald do, when the outsiders, ignorant of the truths of existence, threaten his home? His friends, his family? His town? What choices must be made to ensure those he cares about survive the hate of those who refuse to pursue peace instead of personal gain?
Our Protagonist is the center of history, though he is unaware of it. The future of not just the town he cherishes is at stake, but the very existence of his people, perhaps even his world.
Follow Roald as he learns the cost of ignorance, the struggle for peace of mind, and the preconceptions of those who make no effort to learn. Fighting against the truth and lies bred from madness.
What is a child to do against such senseless hate?
More importantly, What would YOU be willing to do to protect a Utopia?
Would you be willing,
To Kill a Child?
