The World Has Been Reset 5,789 Times—Yet We Still Exist

A lighthearted, comedic fantasy about an ordinary villager who has died 5,788 times—and is officially done caring.

Every time the Hero arrives, Mira dies.

Sometimes she is burned alive by a misfired skill. Sometimes she is crushed by a tree, poisoned by a spider, run over by a military carriage, or killed by something so ridiculous that even she can no longer take it seriously.

Then the world resets.

The rooster crows. Her mother asks her to carry the flour. Her father searches for two missing copper coins. Next door, Kane tries—and usually fails—to repair the same wooden door.

Only Mira remembers everything.

Across thousands of resets, she keeps her memories, levels, skills, resistances, and an increasingly questionable amount of patience. She has saved the Hero, killed the Hero, defeated the Demon King, become the Demon King, and tried almost every possible way to break the cycle.

None of it worked.

By the 5,789th reset, Mira has reached Level 999 and has finally made a decision:

She is going to do absolutely nothing.

Unfortunately, this reset is different.

For the first time, Kane remembers too—and beneath his identity as an ordinary villager, he is also hiding the impossible power of a Level 999 anomaly.

Now two exhausted villagers must pretend to be harmless NPCs while avoiding the Hero’s disasters, hiding from a system that has begun tracking them, protecting their families, and somehow keeping Kane’s battered wooden door intact.

They were never supposed to become the main characters.

But after 5,789 resets, Mira and Kane are done following the story.
