The Saints Are Sleeping

Heaven is silent.

The Courts of Hell are unmanned.

The immortal Saints have retreated to an endless solitude.

For young Ashai and his friends, however, the woes of their world are little more than distant whispers and half-heard rumors. Immortals, monsters, and demons are the stuff of stories, not nightmares. 

Alas, that bastard Fate is always an uninvited guest, and he is rarely kind.

The Land of Valleys and Lakes awaits, teetering between damnation and redemption. Much has been forsaken, and yet all can still be made right.

But the Path is long, and time runs short.

For those who have made it this far, here's what you can expect:

- A slow-burn cultivation story. The main characters start at the very bottom of the totem pole, and they aren't exactly hell-bent on progression in the beginning. Give it time, though. Loss and pain can be great motivators.

- There'll be ancient treasures. Spirit beasts. Wars, both civil and all-out. Even a smidge of kingdom building. All in due time. 

- Occasional timeskips, some of which span months or years. The core group of characters begins as teenagers, but they won't stay that way forever.

- No harem.

- NO HAREM. Not heavy on romance in general, but not totally devoid of it either. 

- For all my fellow map lovers, I'm currently working on a general map of the world, with other localized maps to follow. 

- I'll be dropping around 70k worth of chapters this week and next. After that, it'll slow down to one chapter a week, usually around 4k, with some up to 6k. I'd like to put out more, but I'm a workin' man, and I don't want to burn through my backlog too quick.

If you've made it THIS far, then damn, you're a trooper. Might as well start the first chapter now, eh? Eh??
