They say a river, given endless time, can carve away the hardest mountain, but it only takes a single glance to shatter a man's entire purpose.

For commoner Subha, life in the smoke-cloked Sol Confederation was a brutal equation of absolute physics. To survive, you needed Willpower; to become legend, you had to climb the Knight’s Path. The rules were simple: commoners stood in the shadow, blue-blood nobles bathed in the sun, and the invisible line between them could not be crossed.

For three years, Subha was perfect. He was the invisible scholar, a polite enigma who didn't chase romance or look at the noble girls. He was a machine, studying anatomy to find the limits of the human vessel and mastering physics to harness vacuum manipulation. He had a mountain to climb, a single obsession burning in his chest: to one day break his commoner body and forge it into pure, unyielding iron in The Crucible.

His mental fortress was impenetrable. But when the ruined House of Salini drifted to the coast, carrying a fallen noble daughter with hazel eyes that held a frozen lake of unspoken sorrow, the foundation of his world gave way. He, a quiet machine, was suddenly defenseless against the sound of a pen scratching against a notebook or a stray beam of sun catching her midnight hair.

Now, as the societal screws tighten and the nobles push for total segregation, Subha is faced with a terrifying truth: the hardest storms are not the ones born from clashing empires. The heaviest storm is the silent, irreversible shifting of a heart that has just found its anchor. Subha always knew he would have to burn his own flesh to survive the Knight’s Path. But looking into her sorrowful eyes, he realizes his journey will no longer be a lonely one.

The Knight's Path demands absolute isolation. But what happens to the perfect machine when an anomaly enters the equation? In a world built on iron rules, Subha must decide if he is willing to become the river that carves a new future, or the mountain that shatters to devotion before the very first ascent. The story of his life—and his heart's devastating breach—has quietly begun.
