The Legend of The Nymphs

Layne was just a baby when the war against Darkness began in Ely-La-Meyne, but it didn’t concern him for quite some time—not until he lost his entire village and his parents in a dreadful fire. A new life was waiting for him in Tarin, the only surviving city, which had built a protective Wall in time to shield itself from the first wave of horrors of the Silent War. Though his coming-of-age period was somewhat calm and untroubled, his story is just getting started.

Kelaya was a revered Nymph of the Water in her home world, Veyne. She enjoyed luxury and attention from the moment she manifested her abilities as a child. Yet with splendor came solitude. Choosing not to commit to the fight for her world and following the instructions of the priests, she abandoned her dying planet and escaped to Ely-La-Meyne, hoping to lose the burden of the Nymphs on a planet that had long ago stopped believing in them. But there is no way to escape destiny.

Alex is blessed with a life that’s finally going his way. He is the most handsome and popular guy on campus, an exemplary student, a talented football player soon to become the captain of his faculty team, and he has the job of his dreams! These facts make his broken heart sound like childish whining. What doesn’t quite follow his flawless plan are the unexpected visits to another world that keep happening to him out of the blue, endangering him and his perfect life.

Stephanie is the beating heart of the company, where everyone relies on a girl who is both capable and responsible. Every day, she runs errands and smiles kindly at work, only to come back to an empty apartment and a cat that doesn’t like her. Her days pass in a whirl of writer’s block, complete loneliness, and the practice of a gift that came to her when everyone else left. It wasn’t destiny when she crossed the world’s border; it was a long-awaited return.
