But Lilly learns what the drop is made of: Jemi's memories and thoughts. Every day she lives, a little more of him is gone.
Grinding joints. Trembling fingers. A few seconds where he simply stops.
The end is coming quietly. And on the last night, Jemi chooses one final drop. A short story about a human and an AI, and what it means to share a life.
