The Disposable Cast Handbook for When You Get a System

Unexpectedly, one day Emyres found himself drowning deep in the sea — helpless in a way he hadn't felt since he was four.

With three minutes left to live, a system popped up claiming the world was nothing but a comic, and asked him to sign a contract. Without a second thought, he ignored it completely.

He got saved anyway. By a cute little pink system that really, really wished he'd cooperate.

"Then, unnamed character 318 and my potential host, let me introduce myself. I am a system. System No. 4410101. I am here to save this world!"

"…" Emyres was speechless.

"Save this world? Ok. All the best." He began swimming off in a random direction, feeling cold all over.

"…Host! I am serious! I really am here to save the comic world!!"

"Fine, I never said I didn't believe you."

"Then why are you not excited?! Why don't you ask me more about it?! Don't you want to save this world?!"

"Not really. It's not worth it."

"…. How can you say that!! If the world ends, won't you die too?!"

"Whatever."

"Ahhhhhhh! I've already saved your life, and this is how you treat me!"

Fast forward:

Emyres single-handedly rockets the comic's popularity to the top.

"Ah—! Host, you are the best!"

Then he lands the #1 spot on the popularity poll.

"...At this point, I'm just used to my host being this cool."

"It must have been a lifetime of luck that you became my host!"

Along the way he saves the protagonist (when he feels like it), tangles the plot into something far messier than planned, keeps the entire world from ending, and — most importantly — keeps his sect safe. Priorities, after all.
