The Detective's Hunt

You know what I like about horror?

More specifically...

Horror games. 

It's not the fear. 

Not the anticipation. 

Not even the suspense. 

No. 

It's the shift. 

Think about it: in a horror game, whenever you obtain a weapon, for example, a gun, doesn't it feel like the genre suddenly changed? 

From Horror to Action and Adventure. 

Well, I'm not really that much of an action fan either, but I do like the feeling of having a sort of weapon; it enhances the thrill, doesn't it? 

Okay, I might be going a bit off track here. 

What I like about horror games is not the horror itself. It's the mix of horror and action, or rather... 

The mystery. 

Yes...

I love mysteries.

My name is Oliver Wells, but most know me as Super Detective Wells... okay, no one calls me that. 

But I like to think of myself as someone impressive, even if others don't. 

My life isn't something I'd necessarily brag about. I'm just your average neighbourhood anomaly detective in a world full of mysteries. 

Which is a fancy way of saying I investigate things that no one fully understands. 

Like statues that only move when you're not looking at them, that type of stuff. 

But I do what I have to do to get paid, you know? 

Then I spend most of my time playing video games. 

Damn... 

I guess I'm pretty boring, huh?
