The Blood of The Dragon (Book 3)

Synopsis

Crack

“How ugly.”

David held on to the commander’s stone fist, with it cracking as he applied just a little pressure. David then clenched his fist tightly, with it morphing intostone as he did so, before striking with a blow so great it sent the Commander reeling back in pain with blood spewing out of his mouth.

The commander stumbled back a few steps and then blinked, and David was gone.

“It’s always the same.”

David’s silhouette formed through the wind right behind the Commander. The commander in a panic turned to strike, only to just hit plain air as David’s silhouette vanished before his eyes.

“You started this.”

Then a powerful blow from the wind strikes him in the stomach, followed immediately after by a few others on his face.

“I didn’t want to fight.”

The wind lifted him up and then flung him to the ceiling before dragging him back down hard to the ground.

The guards, Alearin, Boma, Araban, and Flani, and even Richard watched the one-sided onslaught with a look of terror and disbelief etched on their faces as they watched the mighty Commander of the southern dragon tower being put to the ground by none other than a child.

The Commander, in immense pain, staggered to get back up on his feet to face David, who just reformed right in front of him, staring at him with those violet draconian eyes, a rising fury simmering from his gaze. Looking at those violet dragon eyes couldn’t help but be taken back to that fateful night all those eyes ago.

Recalling the cries of his people as they were slaughtered by raging flames and crashed by massive boulders, drowned, and suffocated. And with the memories came the fear, the dread, and the feeling of complete and utter helplessness in the face of something larger, something greater, and more powerful than he could ever dream to be—a true monster.

Recalling all those agonizing memories, the Commander just gritted his teeth and then rushed straight for David and delivered a desperate blow with the little ounce of strength he could muster.

This time, it connected, but…

“What an ugly sight indeed.”
