The Accidental Kingpin How I Became a Yakuza Boss (By Complete Mistake)
Synopsis
The Accidental Kingpin: How I Became a Yakuza Boss by Complete Mistake
Kenji Fujimura just wanted a normal high school life.
Instead, he got mistaken for the heir of a powerful yakuza family, accidentally gained the loyalty of the school’s most terrifying delinquent, and somehow earned the reputation of an untouchable young crime lord — all without throwing a single punch.
Now he is dodging gang pressure, surviving school rumors with the destructive power of natural disasters, and trying very hard to convince everyone that he is not, in fact, a criminal mastermind.
Nobody believes him.
The class president is determined to reform him with a notebook and terrifying moral accuracy. A dangerous rival girl keeps testing whether he is really the boy she remembers. The delinquents think his panic is strategy. The teachers treat parent conferences like hostage negotiations.
And somewhere outside the school gates, the real heir is awake.
Watching.
Waiting.
And very interested in the ordinary boy accidentally standing in his place.
Can Kenji escape before the lie becomes his life?
Probably not.
After all, in Fujihama High, every misunderstanding becomes a rumor, every rumor becomes a faction, and every decent thing Kenji does somehow makes him look more like a kingpin.

Author Note — Rebuilt Edition
This is the rebuilt and definitive version of The Accidental Kingpin. The original draft will remain available as the legacy version for anyone who wants to see where the story began, but this new edition is the version I will be continuing from going forward.
The rebuild keeps the same core premise—Kenji Fujimura being mistaken for someone much more dangerous than he actually is—but the story has been reworked with cleaner continuity, stronger character arcs, tighter comedy, expanded consequences, and a completed three-volume structure.
The new edition will be posted as separate volumes so readers can move through the series in order:
Volume 1 — First draft old original chapter 1- 50
Volume 2 — The Wrong Heir
Volume 3 — The Faker’s Gambit
Volume 4 — The Heir by Mistake
Each volume will have its own cover and clear navigation so readers can go directly to the next part of the rebuilt story.
New readers should start here with the rebuilt edition. Returning readers are welcome too—just know that this version replaces the old continuity going forward.
