Symbiote Bonded
Synopsis
When the sky tears open over a rain-soaked coastal city, the invasion begins.
The attackers are relentless, their technology overwhelming, their purpose clear: eradication. In the opening hours of the assault, as conventional forces collapse and the streets fill with fire and the dead, a dying alien species makes one final, desperate move. The Veyl, already driven to extinction by the same invaders, seed Earth with living weapons of their own—symbiotes designed to bond with compatible humans and evolve alongside them.
Kael Rourke is one of the first to survive the bond.
The symbiote that claims him is named Veyla. She is sharp-tongued, darkly funny, unapologetically crude, and completely uninterested in letting Kael die. Together they become something new: a human and an alien consciousness sharing one body, growing stronger with every fight they survive. But they are not alone. Across the burning city, thousands of other symbiotes seek hosts. Some humans accept the bond and rise with terrible new power. Others reject it—and both human and symbiote die in agony.
As Kael and Veyla fight their way through the ruins, they begin to encounter other hosts. Some are allies. Most are not. The bonds are changing people in unpredictable ways, amplifying strength, rage, ambition, and desire. In a city where the old rules no longer apply, every new connection is a risk… and every risk is a chance to become something the invaders cannot predict or control.
Bonded is a dark, immersive science-fiction story of invasion, survival, and the dangerous intimacy of sharing your mind and body with something that is not human—yet refuses to let you face the end of the world alone.
