Synopsis
Fourteen-year-old Steven never wanted to move to his great-grandmother’s house in rural Japan. He doesn’t understand Japanese, and his only study materials are toilet-themed books. But on the day he arrived, he was thrust into a war between a powerful industrial titan, an ancient evil, and the ghosts who want him to embrace his destiny as a Kannushi, spiritual guardian of the land.
When a ruthless industrialist threatens to erase the land’s spirits to fuel his own revenge, Steven must choose between completely rejecting the ghostly legacy that terrifies him or embracing it to protect the only friends he’s ever known.
