Shift (A Shounen Battle Series)

Reality is not so rigidly defined.

Everything changed the moment a foreigner wielding sand and floating in the air attacked Yuki Hayashi.  Both should have been impossible feats, features of dreams and fiction.  This was his new life.  A vast secret world begins to open up to him as he learns about this power he too possesses, the ability to rewrite reality with his imagination.

Shift is a long form serialized story inspired by Shounen Jump battle manga.  A large cast of characters and genre hopping, Shift will have a little bit of everything.  Each arc is long and will be defined by a core main character and theme, that main character will not always be Yuki.

Chapters are released at 7:15PM CST on a Monday, Wednesday, Friday schedule.  Chapters will be about 2k-2.5k in length.

School Days Arc - Chapters 1-93 (Monster of the Week/Slice of Life)

Yuki and his friends find themselves in the middle of a political plot to see the heir to the throne of Atlantis killed.  They must protect themselves from assassins while learning about this new power awakening inside Yuki.  How will this secret reshape everyone’s lives?

The Siege Arc - Chapters 94-285 (Action/Adventure/Lots of Battles)

Traveling to Atlantis, Yuki and his friend now enter this secret land in the hopes of bringing an end to the plot on Yuki’s life.  Chased by the military and learning about the new powers everyone has been gifted, they struggle to keep all out war from being the only answer.  Who is the true mastermind behind the plot and what is the secret behind the doom hanging over the land?

The War Arc - Chapters 286 - 375 (Action/Horror)

Returning to Japan, two months have passed since the Shattered Japan Incident and a month since the Solstice Nightmare.  Japan is under UN blockade in a peacekeeping action.  Worse still, Yuki and his few friends learn that their neighborhood is embroiled in a deadly conflict that centers on their school.  Friends are killing each other and madness spreads to all corners infecting all it touches.  Will he be forced to take a side to defend himself?

All for One Arc - Chapters 376 - Current (Action/Isekai)

Takako's dark realm has ended, but the impact remains lingering over everyone.  Yumi's alternate personalities have finally taken over, but she refuses to let them control her future.  With her help of her friends, she must journey to their worlds and claim control of her life.  But with all of them trapped in her mind, what will become of Yumi?  Can she survive the darkness that exists within?
