Demon King Erizen thought all Heroes were insane.

For one thousand years, he ruled over the continent of Thalmyra, with lunatic bands of ‘Heroic’ Chosen Ones constantly trying to end his reign.

None ever came close. Until one day, a random peasant girl from the back-end village of nowhere manifested the Holy Sword, led a Crusade to his door, and promptly ended his life before dying herself seconds later.

An absurd ending to his pointless life. Yet even as he died alongside the smiling Heroine, Erizen could not understand.

Why were all heroes like this? Why did they not care for their lives?

What gave them such suicidal strength?
