Dreams are worlds, but maybe not.

Worlds within worlds, that's all everything is.

Maybe not. Who knows?

Ran wants to. He's a kid in a Nameless world that's so familiar he can almost believe he belongs there.

He knows he doesn't. He's found a great family, a great brother, but knowing that he doesn't may be driving him insane.

E lives in a walled city that happens to hate Ran's. Its guardian, in fact, and the woman will do anything to keep it guarded. She's a monster, but not really. She just has some powers and is a little angry. But will she understand that before she hurts Ran?

Nail is a noble man, a warrior of the Rock, from the other side of Nameless. He's looking for Ran, though he doesn't know it's Ran he's looking for. Caught between his past and present, he too, is a monster, but not really. He just needs direction.

Rina is also from the rise of the Nameless sun, but she's so mysterious even she doesn't know who she is. Monster, but nah. Just reserved. Still, she's like E: a woman trying to protect her own. She's like Nail: looking for Ran. To kill him or protect him she'll find out when she finds him.

Pilgrim's insane.

Ran's surrounded by people who think they know what's going on. Who think they know what forces drive things as concrete as the steel and paved roads of the city he inhabits, or things as abstract as the broken hearts of the men of the Nameless world. Ran only knows that everyone else knows and he doesn't.

Can he? I mean, before he's kidnapped or killed?
