Synopsis
Joe Miller lives an ordinary life.
He keeps his bins on the correct schedule, his drainage gradients within acceptable tolerances, and his front drive properly maintained.
Then someone delivers an eight-tonne classified crate to his driveway.
Unfortunately for the people trying to recover it, Joe notices things.
He notices the surveillance camera disguised as a birdhouse.
He notices the operative wearing expensive shoes.
He notices the paving stone that has settled three and a half millimetres lower than its neighbours.
Soon intelligence agencies, private contractors, concerned neighbours and at least one international containment protocol are all trying to answer the same question:
Who exactly is Joe Miller?
Joe, meanwhile, is mostly concerned about the drainage.
