His best friend and roomate Alex convinces him to buy a the game to better their lives to which he reluctantly agrees.

Finally in the game he finds himself as... a Leech, a weak parasitic worm. 

However he gains one of the rarest classes in the entire game, one of a set of 10 classes so rare only 10 people in the world can have them. The Apex Classes. 

He has the Apex of blood: Hemetophage. 

He must now feed on blood to survive the trials that await him.
