Next Door Dungeon: Book One (Giant Rats With Big Gnashy Teeth)

When twenty-one-year-old college student Josh Hester moves back into the apartment of his youth, he finds a strange doorway that allows him to go back and forth between a fantasy RPG world complete with the ability to level up, raise his stats, and get his butt SERIOUSLY kicked by monsters. He also finds a dwarven witch with a penchant for nicking snacks from his fridge, a ranger who enjoys telling some of the grimmest tales Josh has ever heard, and a forever-fighting elven barbarian named Molly who’s fierce, bold, and usually forgets her pants. But what relationship does this fantasy world have with the babysitter of Josh’s youth, the death of his father, and why does a mysterious blurred man from this strange world want Josh SO completely and utterly DEAD?

What to expect: A likable main character who advances slowly, but steadily, with some skills that are off-kilter even for the world he enters. Mystery. Adventure. Oddball magics and items. One weird thief. A few romantic elements. Regular postings (I'm at 300k words in the story, currently, because I wanted to make CERTAIN it was fully developed so I wouldn't tumble over the starting line) Occasional bits of hand-drawn art. I added the Sexual Content warning just in case, but it's more flirty than anything, for the most part. There are no talking ducks. You'll have to look elsewhere if that's your thing. Sorry.
