Growing up in a struggling family in Uruguay, Mártin Padilla found comfort in only one thing, football. Every victory gave him a glimpse of the happiness that always seemed out of reach at home. Determined to escape the life waiting for him there, he pushed himself through the ranks, until finally reaching the top stage. 

But as he navigates through the world of professional football, the harder it becomes to outrun the problems following him off the pitch.

As fame, pressure, addiction, and unresolved trauma begin to shape his life, Mártin must learn who he is beyond the game before his own bad habits destroy everything he's worked for.

And maybe, just maybe, the person who can help him is a rival captain carrying troubles of his own.
