Masterstroke: A Dexterity Progression Fantasy
Synopsis
Ruvle can live a normal life again once the tyrants fear her.
All this random notary public wants is to get back at the man who took her eye, and that means training in her only source of power: hyperdexterity, a dying legacy art. Reality check, Ruvle: the true citizen class he belongs to are akin to gods on earth, the precipitate of history and mad science, and they're collecting pieces of a dead god to rewrite reality entirely. When strength can be purchased as a golden mineral, infinite wealth is unassailable. Only her friend, Chain Hydrapress, brings a shadow of a chance by mixing his rune magic with her old magic-free discipline of dexterity, and in this mixture of obscura, the world will change.
But the more Ruvle meddles against true citizens, the more they notice, and Ruvle must grind like hell to have a chance against them when she can't pull rank in bureaucracy for self-defense. It's bigger than revenge, and every step requires improving her dexterity with hard training and the philosophy of being Exact, all to hunt the glints of the Thoughtless thing that is being pieced together again. For example, the one owned by that smug tool in that tower over there. He's kind of a jerk. Chain says he's first.
