Lord of Marvels

by Han Yoga Ongoing

Synopsis

Shinra doesn't remember who he is.

He remembers dying.

A commander burning beneath dragonfire. A prisoner beneath an executioner's axe. A farm boy drowning in a river.

None of those lives should belong to him.

Yet every death leaves behind the same grief. The same regrets. The same promise whispered across every lifetime:

"Don't die in silence."

Rescued at the gates of Aethelgard Academy, Shinra is thrust into a world where resonance shapes reality, ancient ruins breathe beneath the earth, and forgotten horrors stir beneath civilization's foundations. As fragments of impossible memories begin to surface, ancient guardians mistake him for someone who should have died thousands of years ago, while every attempt to uncover the truth only reveals another contradiction.

Because history itself is broken.

The world everyone believes they inhabit is built upon forgotten foundations. Its oldest truths have been buried beneath myth, silence, and carefully preserved lies. Monsters born from recursive grief are no longer content to remain hidden, and something beneath the academy has begun to awaken, something that has been waiting for Shinra's return.

The more he remembers, the less the world around him makes sense.

Every recovered memory costs him another piece of the life he is trying to build. Every answer exposes a deeper deception. And somewhere beneath countless borrowed lives lies the identity he has spent ages trying to forget.

If Shinra discovers who he truly is, he may also uncover the secret keeping his world alive.

And he will have to decide whether the truth is worth destroying everything built upon its absence.
