Irrational Dreamers
Synopsis
[You can listen to the author live read this (poorly) linked in profile/chapters]
On the first day reconnecting with his estranged daughter, a dragon tears his plane from the sky.
Jacob awakens beneath an alien ocean, trapped inside the wreckage and surrounded by sharks. His daughter, Ana, is gone. Ripped from the airplane mid-flight, along with his chances of ever making amends. Immortalizing his reputation as an absent father, forever.
Jacob can’t change the father he was.
But he can decide what kind of man survives her.
When his promise to live as a father Ana would have been proud of becomes a system-granted oath, Jacob’s painfully ordinary talents begin transforming into something more.
Project management becomes leadership. Corporate endurance becomes real survival. And an upside-down dining table becomes The Last Chance, a makeshift raft carrying shipwrecked strangers and an exiled shapeshifting Naga across a world of monstrous seas.
To keep his oath, Jacob must forge a crew from a group of survivors, navigate a civilization that considers humanity its enemy, and survive creatures rising from beyond the world’s edge.
The rational choice would be to look after himself.
But Jacob has already spent too much of his life making the rational choice.
Now he intends to become the father his daughter always deserved, even if she’ll never be there to see it.

Author Note:
Hey guys Sick here, I will try to update W Th Fri Sat Sun. I think I can maintain that for a bit. Plan is to slowly develop a backlog (I've been literally just releasing as I pump em out). I do work full time so we'll see! I will also try to hit 2k words per chapter (although some will be shorter if it fits the story). I also live read it every Saturday on stream (the live reads of each chapter are also available, new ones hit on Sundays and briefly may be ahead of RR). It says below that some links aren't allowed so if you are interested in any of that (although honestly what I post here is more polished) I'll try to see if I can do a link in my profile.
I will do my best to keep improving!
