Gleam of Knowing
Synopsis
One missing wife. One traumatized toddler. A million miles of broken reality.
Sunri was just a mountain hunter who understood the weight of a bow. He never signed up for a burning mark on his palm or a one-way ticket through the Void. He just wanted his wife, Lunelle, to come home.
Now, he’s navigating a gear-city choked by rust and a neon-drenched Hong Kong where the shadows talk back. He’s not traveling light, either. On his back is Pardy—a two-year-old who can mend a dying beast with a single touch but still has a meltdown over cold porridge.
Along the way, they’ve picked up some baggage: a swordsman who would rather face a demon lord than a house cat, a doctor with a clinic for ghosts, and a mechanical bird that won't stop complaining.
They call it destiny. Sunri calls it a mess. But as they hunt for the fragments of Lunelle’s soul, he starts to realize that in trying to find the woman he lost, he’s accidentally stitching together a family from the leftovers of a dying universe.
The Vibe:
Grit over Gimmicks: No instant power-ups. Every clue is earned with sweat and blood.
Progression of the Soul: Growth isn't about numbers; it's about seeing what others miss.
Atmospheric Decay: From the steam-clogged streets of Hero City to the rain-slicked alleys of Sham Shui Po.
[No System. No Harem. No shortcuts. Just the long road home.]
