For over 600 years since the 13th century, both peasants and kings alike lived in fear of man-eating creatures. They are pale white with striking crimson eyes and look oddly human, as if they tried to imitate us, but their abnormally long nails always expose them as nothing more than copycats. Some even claim that they are from another world. They say they saw them entering our world by using shadowy violet portals. However, in the early 1900s humanity discovered that among them exists a race of humans who had supernatural-like abilities. Those abilities would benefit humanity and help against the demons. The people who were a part of that special race were called "Dermines."

It's the year 2023, the young twin Dermines Sa-iq and Sara both decide to join the Agency, the organization dedicated to holding the line against demons. Sa-iq joined for his own reasons which he masked as ego, while Sara joined to watch over Sa-iq but also to discover a side of herself she never dug too deep into. At first Sa-iq enjoyed being a Dermine, but on a certain night all of his thoughts came to a halt. Sa-iq became the first and only Dermine to get infected by a demon.

As he kept going, Sa-iq kept falling down the rabbit hole of Dermine history. Whether that was experiencing the true nature of demons, or watching just how corrupt and heartless both society and the Agency can get. Or worse, watching as the isolation cramped up until he could no longer breathe.

WHAT TO EXPECT OUT OF DERMINE:

-Dermine is heavily inspired by Japanese anime and mangas. Some of Dermines inspirations can be Re:Zero and Jujutsu Kaisen.

-Dermine is set in the middle east, in an alternative timeline where the modern region of the Levant is united as a single country.

-Dermine is a slowburn, where it takes time for characters to grow and develop.

-A deep dive into the powersystem and how it works.

-Deep emotional intimacy between different characters.

-Graphic content, I'll always make a second warning under any kind of chapter that contains graphic content.

-A dialogue heavy story.

-Casual mystery. Answers to a question are not fed by hand

-Grammar isn't always the best. English isn't my first language so I might mess up here and there, please be patient with me!
