Dark Dolls: An Arcanum Story

Mary was once a normal highschool girl, getting ready for her senior year in high-school. That was until the day a home intruder entered her home and bludgeoned her head against the wall, causing her to regain the memories of her past life, of a city mage killed in action in another world.

Though the intruder was slain in the end, her life wouldn't be the same again, not anymore. Not after trying to use the magic of the old world and something else responded... 

Now possessing her memories of her past life as a second personality, they must now navigate a world that they had thought was once completely sane to them. Now with countless shadows that seem to hide secrets they never knew to consider, while also reeling from the strange creature that seem to have been born from their magic. 

But that didn't begin to cover the other questions that rattle within their soul. What is the true nature of this world, why is magic so monstrous in this world, and why does no one know that magic is real? If their going to continue living their life, they'll need to learn the truth behind the veil and why magic isn't such a sweet fairytale in this world.  

Set in the world of Arcanum, in the Ambrosia Timeline.

What to expect:

* The MC has two personalities sharing the same body: a leery, wary mind and a slothful, whimsical mind.

* A dark urban fantasy, with action, psychological situations and slice of life elements.

* She is going to earn her power, she isn't the destined one or a world shaking talent, just someone trying to survive.

* No planned romance for MC. The MC is friends with and works with several characters without deciding she wants to be with any of them. Romance appears in the background with other characters from straight to gay, but the MC falling in love or pursuing physical gratification at this time isn’t a thing.
