Cursed beyond the Veil

I am nothing.

Others become stronger, smarter, more resistant to what affliction they harbor, but I cannot.

My body is a nightmare manifested, my bones are brittle, my skin peels against my clothes, I carry an incurable illness that makes me weak and unable to use Mana.

Some days I question of this curse was for something I had done, or if the world was just trying to smuther out my existence...

Sometimes when the pain doesn't ease, I wonder if I could die from shame.

But I can't give up, even when I have so many times before.

There are people waiting for me, I know that my mother need me, I know that if I were to die she would be defenseless against the war waiting to squash what little I care for on this planet.

I will stand above my curse, join the battalions of the empire, and prove myself.

This is the third installment in the trilogy I have between Gabriel, Nimrod, and our new punching bag !

Rat.

Yes this is going to change in the story, but for the first few chapters you may know the MC as Rat Azure.

As the final and arguably most important book in the trilogy, I'm going to try and set a standard for Royal Road, attempt to be a gem in the bloody and sludgeish slop if you would.

Any body trying to connect these stories lore wise good luck, because I am NOT making transition stories for these.

After this, all I'm going to do is focus on Jonny Willful in a meaningful way then just keep moving up the trilogy so I can continue to expand on the magic system of this book.
