Curse Up

Despite the magic in my blood, all I ever wanted was a quiet life: to cook delicious food, savor each day, and care for my friends. But then I discovered I had killed my own father, became the heir to a noble bloodline, and received a curse... And now it is leveling up instead of me!

My name is Lucien, and I'm the unwanted bastard of House Sangrâce, one of the great dynasties that wield blood magic. They wanted me to become a blood mage, but I chose the Cook class. There's just one problem: my curse devours 90% of my experience. Every dish I create, every recipe I discover, the curse takes almost everything and grows stronger. House Sangrâce exiled me to Eau-Morte, a sleepy bayou town on the edge of the kingdom, where the air smells of cypress, alligators lurk beneath the water, and floating market sells things that shouldn't exist. Interesting place, actually. And my family here are interesting people too: uncle with bloodlust, senile  great-grandmother, a cousin who plays deadly jazz, and a little green necromancer.  Time to cook.

What to expect: slow progression, slice-of-life, crafting and cooking, toxic family, blood magic. A curse that levels up instead of me. Cozy with teeth.
