Not Meant to Survive: A LitRPG Survival Story

by rhealey101 Ongoing

Synopsis

At fifty-six, Mark isn't looking to save the world. He's simply trying to survive in it.

When he is pulled from his ordinary life into an unfamiliar world with a mysterious System and no way home, his priorities become painfully simple: find food, build shelter, secure clean water, and stay alive long enough to understand the rules.

For the first part of his journey, Mark is completely alone. Every meal, every tool, and every decision rests entirely on his shoulders. But he soon discovers he isn't the only survivor brought to this world. One by one, more people begin to arrive, and surviving alone gradually becomes learning to survive together.

While others chase levels and powerful abilities, Mark discovers that his greatest strength isn't fighting monsters. It's solving problems, organizing people, and building the foundations that allow everyone else to thrive. What begins as a single shelter slowly grows into a camp, then a village, and eventually a thriving frontier connected by trade, exploration, and cooperation.

As new regions are discovered, dangerous dungeons are explored, and civilization slowly takes root, Mark realizes that building a future for hundreds of people is far more challenging—and far more rewarding—than surviving alone.

Not Meant to Survive is a LitRPG about intelligent problem solving, exploration, crafting, settlement building, and long-term progression. The story begins as a solo survival adventure before naturally evolving into community building, regional development, and frontier expansion. If you enjoy capable protagonists, meaningful progression, and watching a world grow one earned step at a time, this story is for you.
