Synopsis

Lin Wan（Wanda） is a sixteen-year-old Chinese-American girl who just wants to survive high school in Brooklyn.

But when her grandma gives her a strange wooden box carved with cloud patterns, a single tear unlocks something she never expected. In an instant, she is torn from New York and thrown into the Nine Nether Continent—a realm of cultivators, ancient bloodlines, and a mist-shrouded sanctuary that everyone seems desperate to find.

Branded as a "Key," she is hunted by powerful sects who believe she can open the sanctuary's gates. Alone and powerless, she must survive in a world where spiritual energy rules and her modern knowledge is useless.

By her side stand three unlikely companions:
