When the apocalypse tears open the sky and countless monsters flatten entire cities, Zephion somehow manages to die in the very first wave.

Instead of staying dead, he awakens the Undying Core, a mysterious power that rebuilds him stronger after every death.

Unfortunately, it has one strict rule: it rewards courage, not stupidity.

Suicide, surrender, or trying to exploit it earns nothing. If Zephion wants to grow stronger, he has to fight enemies far beyond his limits... and survive just long enough to die trying.
