Can Broken Hearts Mend a Torn World?

Fate is a cage, past is a chain.

Reitam lived his whole life according to the path the gods had laid out before him. He never questioned his mission to save the world, until one night the visions led him to a rift in the fabric of space. Through it came horrifying creatures that stole his arm and his potential as a caster prodigy. It was thanks to a single person that he survived that night.

Amelieth spent her days fighting a past that wasn’t hers. No one at the academy ever saw her cast a single spell, yet she was passing the exams. To distract herself from the trauma, she helped with the research to close the rifts once and for all. That had been the only worth she saw in herself, until a single ‘chance’ encounter led to her walls crumbling.

But time wasn’t on their side. Soon the situation would get dire and they would need to fight by each other's side to save the world from collapsing.

What you can expect:

• Two leads (character-driven story).
• Romance that actually goes somewhere (reasonably early).
• A mix of sol/action/progression/mystery.
• Moving setting (academy, wilderness, ruins & more).
• Painted & instinctual magic (tactics included).
• A mix of classical monsters & cosmic horror.

In other words: This is a story about two lost people trying to understand the past, the future, themselves, and each other. There is action, worldbuilding and plot that have depth, but it’s the characters that give them weight.

If at any point the above becomes untrue, feel free to open a rift and steal food from my fridge if you must.

The schedule:

• First 8 chapters—twice a day.
• From chapter 9 till 28—daily.
• From chapter 29 till 40—Tue/Thu/Sat/Sun.
• Afterwards—3 weekly releases.
